Felix B. Maldonado, 72, passed away peacefully at his home, on January 25, 2018. He was born on August 2, 1945 to Inez B. & Felix M. Maldonado in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Felix married Aurora S. on December 14, 1963 in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Felix was raised in Mexico and later moved to Texas. For the majority of his life, he made his home in Tremonton, Utah. While living there, he worked at the Sugar Factory, Tremonton City, Icon, David Joseph and retiring from Thiokol.
He loved to go fishing with his children and attend family BBQ’s. He loved to go to Wendover and gamble. Felix enjoyed playing cards with his family, especially Uno and Poker. He coached and trained his sons and many others to box. He made his own boxing ring, and traveled to different cities and states for tournaments.
Felix was a member of the St. Henry’s Catholic church and became a member of the Santa Anna church when it opened in Tremonton.
He is survived by his wife, Aurora S. Maldonado; children: Diana M. Gonzales, Felix S. Maldonado, Jorge S. Maldonado, Daniel S. Maldonado, and Salvador S. Maldonado; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix M. Maldonado & Inez B. Maldonado; siblings, Irma Morales, Guillermina Amaro, Mario Maldonado, Luis Maldonado, and “his children”: Juan Pablo Maldonado and Alexandro Maldonado.
A rosary will start at 5 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, UT 84337) on Tuesday evening, January 30, 2018. A viewing will follow the rosary from 6-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Noon on January 31, 2018 at the Santa Ana Catholic Church (760 West 600 North Tremonton, UT 84337).
