Carol Ann Anderson

April 23, 1950 ~ July 18, 2018 (age 68)

Bear River City- Carol Ann Anderson, 68, passed away on July 18, 2018 at her home in Bear River City. She was born on April 23, 1950 in Brigham City, Utah to DeVerl and Carol Barker. Carol Ann was raised in Bear River City, where she attended Bear River Elementary. After that she attended Box Elder Junior High and graduated from Box Elder High School. She later attended Utah State University.

On May 1, 1981, she married Mark Anderson in Bear River City. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Throughout her life, she worked at Flying J Corporate Office from 1972- 1983, a Relief Clerk for the United States Postal Service from 1989- 2007 and as the Postmaster in Bear River City from 2007-2018.

Carol Ann was the best at baking. She made the best breadsticks in the world. She also enjoyed growing roses, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol Ann served in many callings including Primary Teacher, Primary President, Young Women’s Presidency, Relief Society President, Relief Society Instructor, Gospel Doctrine Instructor, and Visiting Teacher.

Carol Ann is survived by her mother: Carol Barker; husband: Mark Anderson; children: Leslie Hurt, Jacob (Jodie) Anderson, Derek (Carrie) Anderson; grandchildren: Brody (Hailey) Copeland, MacKenzie Copeland, Averie Fridal, Kysen Hurt; great grandchildren: Karter, Maverik, Olivia; sisters: Ruth (Dell) Olsen, Jean (Ron) Stoddard; brothers: Lynn (Jackie) Barker, Toui (Ha) Van Tran; and lots of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father: DeVerl Barker; son-in-law: Robert Hurt; grandparents: Eugene & Miriam Thompson and Lorenzo & Blanche Barker.

Funeral services for Carol Ann will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held on Friday evening, July 20, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All services will be held in the Bear River City LDS Chapel (5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City). Interment at the Bear River City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Worx Hospice for all of the loving care that they showed to Carol Ann and her family.

Compassionate services will be provided by the Bear River 1st Ward Relief Society at the Bear River City Church following the graveside.
