Death Certificate Form
I, Doran Janet Nicholas Carter, put on my wig, got on my broom and took my last flight. Being the master of my own destiny, God allowed me to come home on May 6, 2019.
I was born on May 13, 1938, in Tremonton, Utah, to Joseph Gordon and Doran Howard Nicholas and was one of seven children – Valora Pentz (deceased), Thera Huish, Denny Nicholas (deceased), Joyce Darrow (deceased), Howard Nicholas and Dale Nicholas.
I married a wonderful man, Ralph Carter, on September 1, 1954, in Tremonton, Utah; and into that union were sent five wondrous spirits who graced our lives with joy, laughter and love – Deborah Carter (Tony Pashko), Paula (Kirk) Pace, Michelle Carter, Darwin (Lisa) Carter, and Barry (Amy) Carter who gave us the privilege of being grandparents to 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and one on the way, who delighted and amazed us.
Janet’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Jan-Erik Schow, Kristy Giles and Jordan and Heidi of Rocky Mountain Hospice for their assistance in honoring Mom’s wishes and making her comfortable before her passing.
My family would love to visit with you on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Garland Tabernacle from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. My Celebration of Life will begin immediately thereafter at 11 a.m. Please come and share your love and joy of life with each other as a token of my love for you. Wear your greatest smile and brightest clothes. No black and no flowers. God meant for flowers to grace the outdoors; instead give someone a hug, a smile or a kiss.
