Margaret Irene Price Collom, 93, passed away on February 4, 2018. She was born on April 22, 1924 in Tremonton, Utah to Edward Ezekiel Price and Laura Margaret Smith. While living in Tremonton, she married her sweetheart, Ray Winford Collom on June 21, 1941. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on May 30, 1973. Ray passed away on May 25, 2014.
She attended Bear River High School. After high school, she worked at Carlson Glass, and Tremonton Nursing Home as a cook.
Irene loved to crochet, and she made an afghan for each of her grandchildren. She loved to go camping and fishing with her family and friends, where many cherished memories were made. She also enjoyed many pot luck dinners with her family on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as a Young Women’s camp director, primary teacher, cub scout leader, and visiting teacher. She loved going to the temple and went almost weekly.
She is survived by her sons, John (Geneva) Collom and Dale (Judy) Collom; 10 grandchildren; 28 great and 20 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Tamera (Joe) Johnson, Debra (Don) Christensen; and 2 step-sisters.
She is preceded in death by her husband; 1 grandson, Michael Dale Collom; 7 brothers and sisters; and 2 step-brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the Tremonton 2nd/5th Ward LDS chapel (300 S Tremont Street) starting at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing before the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. There will be a viewing for Irene on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E Tremonton) from 5-7 p.m.
