Orlando Valintine Rodriguez, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at McKay-Dee Hospital, in Ogden, Utah. He was born on January 30, 1950 in Durango, Colorado to Tony and Helen Rodriguez.
Orlando grew up in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah in 1968. After high school he joined the National Guard. He then began working as a driver for 30+ years.
Orlando married Veronica Gallegos in February 1969 in Ogden, Utah. They were happily married for 16 years.
He enjoyed camping, barbecues, and family gatherings. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, they were the world to him. He had a hobby of collecting swords and submerging into native American Cultures.
Orlando was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Helen Rodriguez, Birth Mother Evelyan Valencia, Great Grandson Bryken Trevor Simmons.
Orlando is survived by his ex-wife Veronica Gallegos of Preston, Idaho; his daughters, AnnMarie (Michael) Colunga of Logan, Utah, Lillian (Alberto) Florez of Tremonton, Utah, Andreya Rodriguez of Salt Lake City, Utah; Paige (Scott) miner of Salt Lake City, Utah and Jadzia Card; his son Tony Orlando Rodriguez of Preston, Idaho; his brother, Larry (Theresa Toledo) Rodriguez of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren Latisha Sanchez, Francisco (Melody) Florez, Orlando Florez, Alex Colunga, Alberto Florez Jr., Alyssa Colunga, Sharee (Dale Simmons) Florez, Vanessa Swenson, Joe (Mindy) Florezl his 14 great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held on April 26, 2019 at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E.- Tremonton, UT) at 3 p.m. friends and family can come and gather with the family from 2-3 p.m.
