Allen Lynn Stander

June 19, 1951 — July 19, 2025

Allen Lynn Stander, born June 19, 1951, in Tremonton, Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in his home on July 19, 2025, in Tremonton, Utah, after enduring a 2-year battle with cancer.

Lynn is survived by his sweet wife of 55 years, Cheryl; their 5 children, Julie (Chad) Barnett, Janalee, Tami (Jared) Sorensen, Trisha (Matt) Marker and David (Tara) Stander; 26 Grandchildren and 24 Great-grandchildren; his brothers; Clive (Linda) Stander and Kim Stander and his sister Desiree Stander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Jean Stander, 2 brothers; Kevin and Ryan Stander and a grandson, Wyatt Sorensen.

Lynn lived in Tremonton in his younger years then moved to Ogden in 1965, then Washington Terrace where he graduated from Bonneville High School in 1969. That’s where he met his high school sweetheart and married Cheryl Rae Johnson, September 11, 1970, in the Logan Temple for all Eternity. He received a degree in 1972 from Weber State College in auto mechanics and auto body.

Lynn moved back to his family farm in Tremonton and raised his family and lived there the rest of his life. He owned Classic Auto Body shop in Tremonton, then worked at Thiokol, Crump-Wheatley’s as Service Manager, Greenline Equipment as Service Manager, then spent the remainder of his life working along side his son in their business, Streamline Collision Center; Never giving up on his passion to restore classic cars.

Lynn always had a desire to learn new things and kept up on certifications and learning new skills. He was blessed with a creative mind, many talents and abilities that allowed him to do just about anything. He was blessed with a keen mind to the end and retained memories and all he had learned here in this life. He was most knowledgeable in cars and could walk you through fixing a car with his eyes closed. He passed on that knowledge and skills to anyone who wanted it, mostly his son, David, who worked along side of him from a very young age. His passion for farming started with working with his Grandpa and Dad on the farm in Tremonton and remained with him throughout his life.

Lynn was a faithful, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served many hours in leadership roles; Scouting, working with the youth, High Councilor and Bishop.

Lynn worked hard but played hard too. He was a fun Dad and Grandpa and always goofing off and making time for family and vacations. Family was his most precious treasure even above his love of cars. He adored is wife Cheryl, and they cherished their time spent caring for each other through their health struggles. He had a zest for life and he always made the best out of every situation. He encountered every trial with strength and a positive attitude. He touched everyone he ever talked to or met with his caring, listening ear and smile. He loved people and time around his family. He was an honorable man and drew others to him through his sweet spirit. Lynn will be missed by all who were privileged to know and love him.
