It is with great sorrow that the family of Allison Ivers Hales announces her passing on May 9, 2026, at her home in Bothwell, Utah, at the age of 31. Allison was born to Jeff and Lois Ivers in Layton, Utah, August 4, 1994. She was their fifth child and the baby of the family.
Ali was a special spirit who faced many challenges in her life which she handled to the best of her abilities. As a child Ali enjoyed dance, karate, family trips, family reunions and playing with her siblings and friends. During her junior high and high school years she participated in 4-H and FFA programs where she worked hard to raise and show pigs, rabbits and chickens with pride. She graduated from Bear River High School in 2013. Ali loved animals, particularly cats and dogs and brought , or rather “snuck” home just about every one she could get her hands on. She especially liked to dress up her cats and put them in strollers like babies.
Ali desired to be a friend to everyone and she valued her friendships a great deal. She loved and adored her older siblings and looked up to them in every way. Ali held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews and loved when she got to see them and spend time with them. Ali’s biggest desire in life was to be a mommy. And through a relationship with Cody Pitcher her dream came true on March 11, 2021, when she gave birth to her beautiful daughter Zoey Jean Pitcher. Being a mom wasn’t easy for her, but she worked really hard everyday to be a good mom. She married Benjamin Hales on November 2, 2024. Together they were raising Zoey and building a life together.
She is survived by her daughter Zoey Pitcher; her husband Benjamin Hales; father Jeffrey Ivers; siblings Wade Ivers (Annie), Ashley Schwinn (Chris); nieces and nephews Christian, Jesse, Nick, Leland, Treven, Serenity, and Ember and her great nephews Jaxon, Hagen, and Copeland; her adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Lois Ivers and her sister and best friend Nicole Ivers. These losses took a heavy toll on her heart. Her brother Bradley Ivers; grandparents Cal and Margie Clyde and Leland and Rosalee Ivers (Mel Ryan). Her uncle Robert “Ollie” Clyde.
We can only imagine the joy of their reunion matches the depth of our sorrow.
A special thank you to all the first responders and their efforts and their dedication to their difficult jobs.
