Barbara (Sly) Ellery

Barbara Sly Ellery, 91, passed away on December 6, 2023 at Our House Assisted Living in Tremonton, UT. She was born May 6, 1932 in Port Huron, MI to Elmer Sly and Ida Simpson.

Barbara's life was anchored by her marriage to Herbert T Ellery Sr., whom she married on December 21, 1950 in Bowling Green, Indiana. Herbert preceded her in death on March 11, 2015.

Throughout her life, Barbara resided in various places including Port Huron, MI; Torrance; Garden Grove; Huntington Beach, CA; Arizona; and Utah.

Barbara dedicated herself to the important roles of motherhood and being a loving housewife. She found joy in the simple pleasures of cooking delicious meals, quilting beautiful creations, and nurturing her garden.

Her faith was an integral part of her life as Barbara identified as Southern Baptist.

Barbara is survived by her children Kristina Klimek, Sheryl Finch (John), Herb (Annette), Timothy, Tamera Le due (Hans), Carl (Debbie), Laura Ellery, Julie Wilson (Robert); along with many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Herb and her son Stephen. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Chuck.

A graveside service honoring Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Noon at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery (100 E 1200 S, Tremonton).
