Beverly H. Estep of Plymouth passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born in Tremonton to William Seymour Hill and Lydia Andrea Romer on January 4, 1936 along with her twin brother Bernard who arrived five minutes later. Beverly married Odean Estep on May 28, 1953 in the Logan, Utah Temple. They made their home and raised their family in Plymouth, Utah. They will celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary in May.
Shortly after Mom and Dad were married, Dad was called to serve in the military. Mom stayed at home and finished her high school education and worked while Dad was away. She graduated from Bear River High School and soon went to work at Brigham Apparel. She was also the Postmaster at the Plymouth Post Office for over 20 years where many friendships were established. She also enjoyed helping her brother Bernard on his farm. Mom was a hard worker and taught us all how to work and to be proud of the job when it was done.
Mom had a very strong testimony. Even though she may not have shared it in words, she lived it in her Christ like actions and her example to us. Mom was always serving others and willing to help everyone. She served in various Church callings. Mom had a sweet spirit and a very kind heart! She loved and served her family, as they were her greatest joy! Mom loved spending her time playing checkers, cards and other games with the grandkids, or taking them for penny candy. Mom and Dad grew a beautiful garden and canned and shared their fruits and vegetables with all of their family and friends. Mom made several baby blankets and lots of quilts for friends and family. Mom and Dad had a great love for each other and were inseparable. It was difficult for Mom to be alone once Dad passed but she made the best of the last two years until her and Dad could be together again.
Beverly leaves behind her children Jimmy (Randy Martinsen) Estep, Henderson, Nevada, Penny (Paul) Marshall, Plymouth, Utah, Jerry (Shellee) Estep, Tremonton, Utah, Kristine (Brent) Berry, Plymouth, Utah, Carol Lynn (Brad) Williams, North Ogden, Utah. One of her greatest treasures was her 14 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Beverly is survived by one sister Lola Coombs and her twin brother Bernard (LaPriel).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Odean J. Estep, sisters Roma Bourne, Shanna Hill, brother Blaine Hill, 2 great granddaughters Patty Colleen Carter “Collee”, and Abbigail Lilly Fifield and many other family members and good friends that she loved dearly.
