Billie LaRaine Mangum Cutler, 88, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on June 4, 2025, at the Gables Care Center in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born on September 6, 1936, in Cannonville, Utah, to Ernest Wesley Mangum and Elva Irene Ross Mangum. Her family later moved to Hawthorne, Nevada, where she met the love of her life, Jerry Cutler. They were married on July 20, 1953, in the Manti Utah Temple and shared 56 wonderful years together before Jerry’s passing in 2009.
Billie graduated from Mineral County High School in Hawthorne, Nevada. She worked for many years at the Hawthorne Ammunition Depot, where she was a dedicated clerk overseeing inventory and supply orders.
Billie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings throughout her life. Family was the center of Billie’s life. She created countless cherished memories through laughter, stories, and time spent together. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, crocheting, painting, and especially playing card and board games like Canasta, Pinochle, and Bunko on holidays. Many fond memories were made camping and enjoying the great outdoors with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry, her parents, one brother, and four sisters. She is survived by her children: Jerry Wayne (Debra) Cutler; Linda (Lonnie) See; Rebecca (Ryan) Glass; Kim (Brian) Griffiths; Cindy Cutler; and Melissa (Scott) Muir, and one brother Maynard Mangum; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Garland Stake Tabernacle, 140 West Factory Street, Garland, Utah. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hawthorne Cemetery in Hawthorne, Nevada.
Billie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
