Brenda Copeland

Brenda McKendrick Copeland, 57 our loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt passed away on February 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on May 15, 1960 in Logan Utah to Ronald Tibbitts Yeates and Joan Wyatt Erickson.

She has lived in Smithfield, Utah, Phoenix, Arizona, Rupert Idaho, Tremonton and Garland Utah.

Brenda married Tyrone Copeland on July 17, 1976 in Rupert Idaho.  Together they had 4 children.

Brenda worked at J.C.’s Diner for 27 years, she loved what she did.  She had a great heart for everyone she met.

Brenda’s love was her husband, family and their dog named Boo.  She loved spending time with her best friend and husband Tyrone.  They enjoyed going on rides, fishing, fires and camping.

She belonged to the East Garland LDS Ward.

She is survived by her Mother Joan Wyatt Erickson, 4 children Jason Copeland (Elysia Torrez), Kody Copeland (Becky Holdaway), Mindy Moser (Kit), and Corey Copeland (Sabrina Baumann), 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Mike (Lori) Yeates, Ronald Yeates, Brent (Keri) Yeates and one sister Melanie (Tod) Wayment.

She is Preceded in death by her grandchildren: Brady King & Caydannce Copeland, her dad, her grandparents Libby and Thomas Leavitt Wyatt, Melvin and Doreen Yeates, and 2 uncles Kevin Yeates and Brian Yeates.

The Family would like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Center for all of their sincere compassionate care they gave to her over the last year.  Brenda especially had a special place in her heart for Dr. Sborov and his team for all of their dedication and love they showed her.

The Family would like to thank everyone involved in putting on and supporting her benefit fundraiser.

The family would also like to thank all those from their ward who supported and helped them.

Brenda will hold a special place in all of the hearts that she touched.  She was an inspiration to many in how she faced not only the good times in her life, but how she was able to stay positive and upbeat during the many years of illness that she went through.   She will definitely be remembered for her kind words of encouragement to those she knew where down and struggling.  Brenda, we love and miss you dearly rest peacefully in your Heavenly Fathers arms sweet one.

Funeral services for Brenda will be held at Noon on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 W. 15600 N. Fielding, UT). A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 10- 11:30 a.m. Interment in the Garland Cemetery.
