Bruce Evans 1956-2010 Bruce Carl Evans, beloved son of Ray and Orvella Evans, died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, January 29, 2010 after a valiant battle with cancer. Bruce was born on May 17, 1956 in Boise, Idaho and graduated from Bear River High School, Utah State University (BA), Oklahoma University (MPA), and Brigham Young University (JD). He married Connie Rudd in the Ogden Temple on January 28, 1978. He spent his life in the service of others. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many callings including a LDS mission to Oslo, Norway and as a Bishop in Dugway, Utah. Bruce was honored to sing for a time with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Bruce was an accomplished professional whose legal advice and wisdom was sought by many. Among his greatest professional accomplishments was working at Hill Air Force Base as Project Manager for the Enhanced Use Lease Program which included Falcon Hill. In addition to his full-time employment at Hill Air Force Base, Bruce served as a Colonel in the Utah Air National Guard, North Ogden City Attorney, and Partner in Evans, Grover & Beins P.C., in Tremonton, Utah. He spent his life working for and loving his wife and eleven children. He was a devoted father and family man, his hobby was his family. He also enjoyed musical performance, home improvement projects and backpacking. He did everything in life with passion, exact integrity, a drive for success and a fun-loving sense of humor. He is survived by his beloved companion of 32 years, Connie, and their eleven children, Holly (David Kunz), Camilla (David McCammon), Jacque (David Rupp), Ben (Tammy Forsgren), Liz (Dane Harris), Samuel, Matthew, Catherine, Anna, Joseph, and Aaron and eight grandchildren, Allison, Cameron, Andrew, Jared, Jackson, Caden, Logan and Samuel. He is also survived by his mother Orvella, and his brothers Ken (Velma), Ralph (Shelley) and Bob (Melanie). He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Evans, and granddaughter, Kylee McCammon. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3rd at 11:00 am at the Garland Tabernacle 140 W Factory, Garland Utah. Friends and family may visit Tuesday, February 2, from 6-8 pm or Wednesday, February 3rd from 9-10:30 am at the Garland Tabernacle 140 W Factory, Garland Utah. A special thanks to all staff and healthcare professionals at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah Hospital, and Bear River Valley Hospital.
