Our sweetest boy Callen LeGrand Morris returned to his heavenly home on Friday, April 10th, 2026. He was born to his parents Emily and Layne Morris on April 18th, 2024, in Washington Terrace, Utah. He was immediately loved, adored, and spoiled as the baby brother his sisters Ruby, Jade, and Maisy had prayed for. He was a sweet, loving boy who was always up for a snuggle and made every recipient of those cuddles feel love and peace.
Callen was a boy's boy. He loved cars, trucks, buses, any vehicle he could push around the house. He adored his pet dogs. Letting him outside was a surefire guarantee he would get himself covered in dirt. He loved scooting around the backyard of his Washing Terrace home, playing with whatever he could get his hands on. He somehow managed to get into more mischief than any of his sisters. Yet he also loved to be held and cuddled, preferably with a good book, and was known to get jealous if he saw anyone else being read to. He loved playing with his sisters, snuggling with his mom, and only his daddy could properly settle him down for bed.
Callen was born with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and neurofibromatosis type 1, but never let these stop him from playing and living happily. He was known for his sweetness, playfulness, big blue eyes, and gorgeous head of curls. To know him was to love him, and our family will be forever grateful he was ours. We will never stop loving him and look forward to the reunion of our eternal family.
He leaves behind a large family who will never stop loving him, including his beloved sisters Ruby, Jade, and Maisy, his parents Layne and Emily, his grandparents Jane and Jerry Taylor and Jean and David Morris, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who were the greatest support to us. On the other side he has great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers who are no doubt showing him the greatest love and affection.
Our hearts and eternal gratitude go to the amazing medical team at Primary Children’s Hospital and all they did for Callen during his time there. We also give this same gratitude and love to our friends, family, and church community who supported us through this time.
Callen will be laid to rest on his second birthday on Saturday, April 18th, 2026. The service is as follows:
