Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Cheryl Fuhriman Davis, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Cheryl was born on July 16, 1946, in Logan, Utah, to her loving parents, Lee and Evie Fuhriman. She was raised in Tremonton, Utah, and spent many of her summers in Pocatello Valley, where she worked alongside her father, picking rocks from the fields and pulling rye from the wheat. Those experiences helped shape the strong work ethic and caring spirit that would define her life.

Cheryl attended school in Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School, where she was actively involved in student life. She proudly served in the Student Body Presidency and was a member of the Bear River High Steppers, creating many happy memories and lifelong friendships. She later pursued her passion for helping others and graduated from the Brigham Young University Nursing Program.

While working towards her nursing degree, Cheryl welcomed two beautiful children, Jodette and Ryan. Nursing was more than a career for Cheryl; it was a calling. Throughout her career, she served patients at Utah Valley Hospital, LDS Hospital, and eventually found what she considered her favorite place to work, Bear River Valley Hospital. She was deeply compassionate and found great fulfillment in caring for others. Her work allowed her to touch countless lives and bring comfort to those in need.

One of those patients was a man named Fred Davis. Cheryl was determined to make sure he followed doctor's orders and stayed in bed, and Fred quickly fell for the spirited redheaded nurse who wasn't afraid to tell him what to do. Fred jokes that he has been happily being bossed around by her ever since.

Their love story blossomed, and they were married on August 10, 1979, in the Tremonton First Ward chapel. One year later, on August 10, 1980, they were sealed together in the Ogden Utah Temple. Together they blended their family and later welcomed their youngest child, Chelsee, completing the family they cherished so deeply.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cheryl faithfully served in numerous callings throughout her life. From Primary to Relief Society and many organizations in between, she found great joy in serving others, strengthening her faith, and sharing Christlike love through her dedicated service and example.

Cheryl genuinely loved life. Her happiest moments were often spent serving others and enjoying the simple things she loved. She was an avid horse enthusiast who enjoyed riding and showing horses. She loved crocheting, gardening, crafting, cooking, reading, completing puzzles, making jewelry, and cross-stitching. She also spent time serving at the Humanitarian Center, helping make quilts for those in need. Cheryl could happily spend hours talking about horses, family, and the things she loved.

One of Cheryl's favorite places was Lava Ranches, where she created countless cherished memories with family and friends. She believed that the more people who could come and enjoy it, the merrier. There was always something fun to do because Cheryl made sure of it. She loved taking her family on walks through the forest, going on four-wheeler rides, cleaning up the trails, playing with her dogs, painting rocks, and spending hours working on puzzles together. She had a gift for finding beauty in the world around her, often gathering wildflowers to place in a vase on the table, brightening the area around her and the ones she loved, and bringing a touch of nature to wherever she was.

As her family grew, Cheryl wanted everyone to have a place to stay and feel welcome at Lava Ranches. When the two trailers were no longer enough, she convinced Fred to buy a beautiful shed that could accommodate even more family and friends. That beloved building became known as the "Puzzle Palace" because Cheryl carefully preserved many of her completed puzzles with Mod Podge and used them to decorate the interior walls. Lava Ranches became a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness, reflecting Cheryl's generous spirit and desire to bring people together.

More than anything, Cheryl loved her family. She created a home filled with love, kindness, laughter, and service. Whether at home or at Lava Ranches, she found joy in making others feel welcome and cared for. Her example of compassion, perseverance, and selfless care for others leaves a legacy that will continue to bless generations to come.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Cheryl's love remains with us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Lee Fuhriman; mother, Evelyn Fuhriman; sister-in-law, Marsha Fuhriman; sister-in-law, Ilene Fuhriman; stepdaughter, Lisa Davis; and stepson, Rodney Davis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Davis; her children, Jodette (Rob) Holt, Ryan Giles, Chelsee (Bryce) Telford, stepdaughter Cindy (Chris) Fonnesbeck, stepdaughter Tiffany Davis, stepson Randy (Karina) Davis; as well as 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dixie (Chuck) Dursteler, Dennis Fuhriman, Richard (Roni) Fuhriman, Joyce (Peter) Kelly, and Doug (Trudy) Fuhriman.

Viewing services will be held on Sunday, August 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah 84337. An additional viewing will be held on Monday, August 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tremonton West Stake Center, 345 South 1000 West, Tremonton, Utah 84337. Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing at Noon. Interment and graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
