Colleen Pali

December 9, 1936 — November 30, 2017

Hannah Colleen Nelson Pali, 80, passed away on November 30, 2017, at her home in Elwood, Utah. She was born December 9, 1936 in Thatcher, Utah to Joseph and Hannah DuFossee Knowles Nelson. Colleen grew up in Thatcher, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School. She married Pandi Pali on November 4, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Colleen and Pandi worked together on their family farm. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for twenty years. She loved associating with all of the people on her route.  After retiring, Colleen was called as a temple worker in the Logan and Brigham City Temples. Colleen enjoyed working in the temple and gained many lifelong friendships. Colleen served in numerous callings in the LDS church at the ward and stake level. Her favorite calling was a Primary teacher.

Colleen loved to crochet, quilt, embroidery, and read. She was known for her famous raspberry jelly roll and candy. Her family and neighbors have been the recipients of her beautiful handiwork and baking over the many years. Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family whenever she could. She loved watching her grandchildren in all of the their activities.

She is survived by her children: Dan (Tracy) Pali, Ogden, Utah; Brian Pali, Elwood, Utah;  Jodi Bourn, Anchorage, Alaska; Melanie (Ralph) Hammond, Rexburg, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is celebrating a happy reunion with her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Colleen will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Elwood LDS Chapel (4865 W. 9600 N., Elwood, Utah). Viewings will be held on Friday evening, December 8, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton, Utah) and at the church prior to the funeral service from 9-10:30 a.m.

Interment in the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
