Obituary

Curtis Bartell Grover, aged 89, peacefully passed away on July 25, 2026, in Tremonton, Utah. Born on October 7, 1936, in East Garland to Orval L. Grover and Pearl Eva Petersen, Curtis lived a full and impactful life.

He married his beloved Bonnie Sue Grover on April 4, 1959, in Tremonton, Utah, and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple. Bonnie preceded him in death on July 27, 2023.

Curtis remained a lifelong resident of East Garland and Tremonton. He was a farmer and rancher and as a dedicated high school graduate, he pursued his passion as a PADI Certified Dive Master. His professional journey led him to a significant career at Thiokol, where he contributed as a Machinist, Manufacturing Planner, and Manufacturing Engineer. After 33 years of service, he retired in 1991 at the age of 55, distinguished by numerous awards, including the Thiokol Pro Awards and four patents. He also served with honor in the U.S. Army at Fort Benning from 1955 to 1958.

An active community member, Curtis led as President of the Box Elder County Scuba Team for search and rescue efforts.

He leaves behind his cherished children, Brad C. Grover, Valerie Budreau, and Todd B. Grover. Preceding him in death were his beloved spouse Bonnie Sue (Coombs) Grover, son-in-law Joe Budreau, grandson Caleb Budreau, father Orval L. Grover, mother Pearl Eva (Petersen) Grover, and brother Gary Grover.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10 to 10:45 A.M., followed by a service at 11 A.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). Curtis will be laid to rest in the East Garland Cemetery.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Intermountain Health Care Hospice, Logan, Utah, for their compassionate care.
