Darlene (Weston) Misrasi

September 13, 1942 — June 7, 2024

Darlene Weston Misrasi (81) our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away June 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in her parents home in Laketown, UT on September 13, 1942, to Lorin M. Weston and Hazel Mae Storey Weston. She was the fourth of eight children.

Darlene grew up on the family farm and enjoyed riding horses and swimming in Bear Lake. She graduated from North Rich High School. She then worked in Logan where she met Harold Duane McKinley. They married and were blessed with three children, They later divorced.

She moved to Pleasant View, UT and attended Weber State College. While there, she met Arthur Misrasi. They were later married and made their home in Brigham City Ut. Later they moved to Corinne. She always tried to help provide for the family. She worked for a company that made frozen pizzas, babysat, substitute taught and sold Avon. They later divorced.

While single and taking care of her three children, she went back to College at Weber State University and received a degree in nursing. During this time, she also worked full time and went to school full time often only getting 2 hours of sleep. After passing her boards, she became a Registered Nurse. She worked in labor and delivery at Brigham City Community Hospital and Logan Regional Hospital. Later, she worked at Godfrey’s Foothill Retreat. We would tease her that she helped people come into this world and then helped people lovingly leave this world.

Darlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed her callings.

Several years after becoming a Registered Nurse, she remarried Arthur Misrasi and they were together until he passed away in 2007.

Darlene was compassionate, kind, and had Christlike love for everyone. She was willing to help anyone. She was the number one fan of each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She supported them in everything they did. She loved to play cards with her family, Pepsi and Lays potato chips for snacking.

She is survived by her three children: Mark (Rebecca) McKinley, Kimalee (Matthew) Kohler, Bradley (Stephanie) McKinley and step daughters Tina (Tom) Keyes and Clara Bourne. Also sisters Beverly Bell and Delores Nelson and brothers Brent Weston, Douglass Weston and Owen Weston. She has been greatly blessed with 19 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joseph Weston, sister Beth Bird, and husband Arthur Misrasi.
