DeLone Kone
March 20, 1928 — December 26, 2016
DeLone S. Kone was finally released from her earthly bonds on December 26, 2016. She was born Myrtle DeLone Suhrke but in 1978 changed her name to DeLone Myrtle Kone. She was born on March 20, 1928 to Sam & Myrtle Suhrke.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Ray Kone; daughter, Linda Mae Kone; parents and siblings.
He exceptional talents were Stake Music Director, Young Women’s Counselor, directing large choirs, and concert pianist. She loved to crochet in her later years. She continued to play the piano up to the date of her death.
She was married to Robert Kone on October 25, 1945. Two years later she was married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
The love she shared for her husband and children was beautiful. She filled their lives with music.
Robert had a beautiful tenor voice and many times we would fall asleep listening to her playing the piano and Dad singing. There was also a lot of laughter in our home.
She had a forgiving nature and supported her children in all of their endeavors. Even when they misbehaved, she never faltered in the faith and love.
She is now at peace.
