Diane G. Wheeler, age 73, passed away on July 19, 2026, in Howell, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 24, 1952, in Ogden City, Utah, she was the daughter of Robert and Diane Garvey.

On December 28, 1991, Diane married Cecil DeNoy Wheeler in Riverdale, Utah. She spent her life in Ogden and then resided in Howell, leaving a lasting impact on both communities. A proud alumna of Ogden High School, Diane pursued a successful career as a business manager in both Optometry and Veterinary fields.

Diane's zest for life was evident in her love for fishing across Mexico, Alaska, and beyond. She was also an enthusiastic golfer, coining the phrase “Swing & Swear” to describe her style. Hunting pheasants in the Midwest with her husband was another cherished pastime, as was feeling the sand beneath her feet at the beach.

Her commitment to serving others was reflected in her membership as a State Commander with the Disabled American Veterans.

Diane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Diane leaves behind her devoted husband, Cecil D. Wheeler; her daughter, Lori (Jones) Woodbury; two beloved grandchildren, Mason Williams and Mya Williams; her daughter, Jill (Jones) Coley; and her miniature schnauzer, Col Klink. She is predeceased by her mother, Diane Garvey, her grandmother, Evelyn Olsen, her sister, Pamela Critchlow, and her son-in-law, Willie Harwood.

Per her request there will be no viewing or funeral.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 11:30 A.M. at the Ogden City Cemetery (1875 Monroe Blvd Ogden, Utah 84401). 

Diane's spirited presence and dedication will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and community.
