Edsell Henry Page, Jr age 76 of Tremonton, Utah peacefully passed away on June 13, 2025 surrounded by many loved ones. He was born on December 28, 1948 in Richland Township, Ohio to Edsell Henry Page, Sr and Maxine B Burley Page.
Ed was married to Coleen Caye Thistle on December 28, 1971 which was his 23rd birthday. Ed and Coleen were married for 52 years up until she lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on June 12, 2024. The couple shared a wonderful life together.
Throughout his life, Ed resided in various states, including Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. He earned a degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Science. Ed was an educator and worked with the youth. He also shared is knowledge and talents coaching football and track both in Colorado and Nevada. He retired from the Clark County School District in 2015 leaving a lasting impact on countless students.
After moving from Colorado to Nevada, Ed took a break from teaching in order to provide more for his family. He worked many years in the construction field with his father-in-law and brother-in-law. Besides this full-time, laborious work, he took as many various side jobs he could find, such as drywall repairs, block wall repairs, door replacements, any job that a reliable handyman could take care of, Ed was your guy. This allowed his wife to stay home for many years while their children were young. He returned to teaching later in life.
Ed had many interests including football, softball, baseball, golf, hunting and fishing. He loved working with the youth. He enjoyed many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints, working with youth especially in scouting. He supported all his children’s extra curricular activities, especially all in all the various sports they played. He rarely missed a game.
Ed is survived by his loving children: Jodi Walters (Kerry), Tonya Wright, Lori Patterson (Chris) and Travis Page (Ashlee). He is also remembered fondly by his 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his siblings: Dian Yates, Brenda Davidson (Randy) and Dan Page (Jill).
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to some dear friends that provided service and love to Ed up until he passed. Thank you Kelly, Alexa and Naomi as well as the Hospice team for their compassionate care during this time. Ed will be missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00am. It will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints chapel at 1150 S Tremont St Tremonton, UT 84337.
