Elizabeth Reynolds

January 3, 1935 — December 29, 2015

Elizabeth (Betty) Reynolds passed away on December 29, 2015. She was born in Ogden Utah on January 3, 1935 to Harold Hall Layton and Myrtle Montgomery Layton.  The family moved from North Ogden to Taylor, Idaho where she grew up on a dairy farm.  She attended Idaho Falls High School and Ricks College.

In 1954 while attending Ricks College, she met and married the love of her life and eternal companion, Lyle Reynolds.  They were married March 8, 1957 in the Idaho Falls temple.  Together they raised five children, Kevin (Robyn), Diane Steadman (Mike, deceased), Renee Spatig (Val), Charlie, and Aimee Campbell (Kent).  She had 11 grandchildren and loved every one of them.  She recently got her first great grandchild and was delighted by him. She was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed cooking for her family, canning the bounty of their beautiful garden, crafting, singing and watching BYU sports.

She was a member of the Reflections singing group, the sewing club and was an Avon Lady for many years.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many positions including the Stake Relief Society and Primary presidencies.  She served in the temple for many years and always enjoyed spending time there.

She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, and son-in-law Mike.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2nd, at noon at the Garland 3rd, 4th, 5th, ward chapel (175 S. Main, Garland, UT).  There will be a viewing at the church Saturday prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m
