Ella Lloyd

Howell- Ella Mae Hyden Lloyd, 87, passed away on November 17, 2016 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on March 20, 1929 in Logan, Utah to Mary & Orson Hyden. Ella was raised in Howell, Utah and attended Bear River High School. She married Alfred Lloyd in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 5, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in March of 1962. Alfred passed away on December 13, 2002.

She lived in many places and followed her husband where ever he went, making her home in Howell for the past 35 years. She made beautiful quilts and loved crafts. Everyone always knew they were loved when they were around her.

Ella was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings including, Primary President, Relief Society President, and councilor in the Stake Relief Society. She loved to serve others. Mom found her greatest joy with her family.

She is survived by her children: Karma (Steve) Wilcox, Chuck (Dawn) Lloyd, Paul (Kathleen) Lloyd, Rod (Joyce) Lloyd, & Jayne (John) Gallo; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sisters, Lois (Lyle) Nessen, Renae (Mont) Nessen, Helen (Joe) Noble, Larene Mathis and brother-in-law, Ron Rushton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Winn Hyden and sisters, Joyce Benson and Kay Rushton.

Funeral services for Ella will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howell LDS Chapel (16035 N. 17400 W.). Viewings will be held on Sunday evening, November 20, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E., Tremonton) and Monday morning at the church prior to the funeral from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Howell Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for Dr. Stigge and Dr. Oberg at Lakeview (Bountiful) Hospital and Dr. Prchal at the Huntsman Center for their care and concern for her.
