Janna Jewel Stiles Mellies, age 80, passed away on August 26, 2026, in Logan, Utah. Born on June 8, 1946, in Mesa, Arizona, she was the daughter of Lora Payne and Vernon Stiles.

On November 24, 1995, Janna married Wayne Mellies in Sandy, Utah, marking the beginning of a cherished partnership.

Her life's journey took her to various places, including Mesa, Arizona; Springfield, Missouri; Salt Lake City, Utah; Duchene, Utah; and Tremonton, Utah.

Janna dedicated her career to business management at the University of Utah. Her professional path also included roles as a Switchboard Operator and positions at Harmons. She retired in 2011, having served as the accounts payable manager at the University of Utah Hospital.

Reading was one of Janna's passions. She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, Wayne Mellies; children, Corey Mault (Louise) and Amy Mault; and bonus children, Ryan Mellies, Shauna Evans (Chris), and Debbie Larson (Ron). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Ella, Saxton, Zayden, Matthew, Mark, and Kolten. Janna is preceded in death by her parents, Lora and Vernon Stiles.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her doctors, nurses, and Senior Companion for their compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12-3 P.M. at the Tremonton 3rd Ward Church (9590 N 6800 W- Tremonton), with lunch at 1:30 P.M.
