John Stuart Ruth, age 72, passed away on August 25, 2026, in Tremonton, Utah. He was born on January 5, 1954, in Bakersfield, California, to Edgar Ross and Dona Bell Ruth.

Throughout his life, John lived in several places, including Bakersfield, California; Cuyama, California; Tremonton, Utah; Caliente, California and Glenville, California. He graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, California.

John was a dedicated worker. He ventured into entrepreneurship with his own Hay Loading Service and Septic Service when he was younger. He was a livestock and alfalfa transporter and salesman.

He cherished working on old cars, fishing, hunting with his hounds, and most importantly, spending quality time with family and friends.

John is lovingly remembered by his sister, Donna Jennings; his children, Matthew Ruth (Jana Schultz), Jacob Ruth (Danyel Ruth), Tiffany Hawkes (James Hawkes), Kareina Ruth (Jeff Brown), Glenda Hemmelrick and his grandchildren Deagan Brown, Bailey Barker, Olivia Ruth, Cloey Barker, Kamilla Brown, Danika Ruth, Kaydence Hawkes, Billie Jean Brown, Jeffery Brown Jr., Austin Kemner and Brei Moffatt.

He was preceded in death by his brother Buddy Ruth, sister Glenna Camp and parents Dona Bell Ruth and Ross “Tex” Ruth.
