Joyce Julander (83) passed away on July 09, 2025, in her home in Bear River City. She was born on April 13, 1942, in Heber, Utah, to Edward and Lucile Burgener. She married DeWayne Julander in the Salt Lake Temple, and they enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage. Together they raised five children. She was raised in Heber Utah, and later lived most of her life in Bear River City.
Joyce was a life-long active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel and was an example to all those around her. She served a full-time mission with her husband in Omaha, Nebraska. She faithfully served in multiple church callings and thoroughly enjoyed serving in the temple.
Joyce loved her family above all other activities. She was a caregiver through and through. Once all her kids were raised, she focused on grandkids and later worked as an Aid on the bus for handicapped students. She perfected a sour dough recipe that was second to none. Before long all the kids and grandkids were addicted and would ask for it by name “Grandma’s Bread”. The only way to make her bread better was to add her homemade jam. She had many lifelong friends who would call or stop by frequently. She cherished those friendships.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Marble, Steve (Misty) Julander, Cyndee (Shane) Reed, Layne (Michelle) Julander, and Darin (Heather) Julander; siblings Glen and Rex; her 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Ruth and Arlene), grandson (Jared Marble), husband (DeWayne Julander), and her son-in-law (Shane Reed).
