Judith Emma Noorlander Pulver, 76, of Tremonton, Utah, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 29, 2025, after a prolonged battle with heart disease.
Judy was born in North Bend, Oregon, on April 2, 1949, to Ida Lucy Pearce and Michael Johannes Noorlander. She was the youngest of four children and grew up on a farm in Oregon until her family moved to Southern California where she graduated high school.
She married Gary Shumway, with whom she had three children- her focus and devotion as a mother and lifelong homemaker. Years later, after divorcing, she met and married the love of her life, Robert Pulver. They relocated to Nevada and then ultimately Utah. Judy cherished her family and made them her highest priority.
She was known for her unfailing testimony in God and her deep love for her Savior- Jesus Christ. Judy was fun and playful, generous and forgiving. Her creativity, patience and tenacity enabled her to push through the difficulties of life, and she was always eager to help and love anyone who crossed her path.
Judy was preceded in death by her eldest son, Gregory Shumway. She is survived by her husband, Robert Pulver; her son, Jeffrey Shumway; her daughter, Glenna Shirley (Alan); four grandchildren (Dayna, Kirsten, Nicole and Ryan); two step-children, Joseph Decker (Trina) and Justina Eten (Keith); seven step-grandchildren (Anthony, Tevin, Emmorie, William, Rebecca, Abigail and Edgar); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
