LaRene Scott

LaRene Scott, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 24, 2025, in Logan, Utah. She was born on April 24, 1955, to Wesley Irvine Scott and Merle Laura Hansen Scott.

Throughout her life, LaRene lived in many beautiful places, including Fielding, Beaver Dam, Logan, Alpine, Richfield, Salt Lake, Midvale, and Midway, Utah. Her journey of education began at Bear River High School, from which she graduated in 1973. LaRene pursued further education at Bridgerland Applied Technology College, where she received her Medical Assistant certification. Years later, she attended Weber State University, earning her Registered Nursing degree (RN) and the University of Utah, earning a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

LaRene dedicated her career to healthcare, serving as a medical assistant at the Budge Clinic in Internal Medicine. Her professional journey included positions at Rocky Mountain Medical Center in the ICU and a traveling RN. She also made significant contributions to the State of Utah's Director of the Fostering Kids Program, retiring in 2017 at the age of 62.

Outside of her professional life, LaRene found joy in crafts, gardening, camping, road cycling, and mountain biking. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and especially her father.

LaRene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her children Brian (Kristen) Bowen of Beaver Dam, UT, Robert (Laura) Bowen of Raeford, NC, and Bart (Megan) Bowen of Logan, UT; her father, Wesley Scott; three sisters; one brother; and her beloved grandchildren Dylan Burnley, Weston, Jeremy, Jace, Luke, Teddy, Charlotte, George, Mckenzie, Cooper, and Blake Sunny Bowen.

LaRene is preceded in death by her dear mother, Merle Scott; her best friend and brother, Mark Scott; and her sister, Charlene Udy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11 A.M. at the Beaver Dam Church (16025 N Beaver Dam Rd - Collinston, UT). Viewings will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6-8 P.M. at Rudd Funeral Home - Tremonton (111 N 100 E – Tremonton) and prior to the service at the church from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Interment will take place in the Beaver Dam Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
