It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LaWana Steed Fronk on December 12, 2023, in Ogden, Utah. LaWana lived a remarkable life, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was born on December 29, 1926, in Clinton, Utah to George Anson Steed and Carrie Stokes Steed.
LaWana married Earl Parker Fronk on September 24, 1946, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Sadly, Parker passed away on September 27, 1989.
Throughout her life's journey, LaWana called various places home including Clinton, Ogden, and Tremonton. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family.
LaWana had many passions that brought joy to her life. She loved spending time on the golf course. Music held a special place in her heart as she skillfully played both the piano and organ. Her creative talents extended to sewing where she crafted exquisite pieces as a talented seamstress.
LaWana's love for music was further exemplified by her role as a chorister for the Singing Mothers. She found immense fulfillment in sharing her musical gifts with others. Additionally, she selflessly served others through missionary work in the Florida Tampa Bay mission and through her service as an ordinance worker at the Logan temple. Her compassionate nature led her to serve as a counselor in the Relief Society Presidency.
LaWana is survived by her children Linda Fronk Earl, Dean Earl Fronk (Julie), Patricia Ann Fronk Lantor (Barnet), and James Brent Fronk (Bonnie), sisters-in-law Sharon (Dale) Steed, Roberta (Wayne) Fronk, Donna (Jack) Fronk and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Her love and guidance will forever live on in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Earl Parker Fronk, her parents George and Carrie Steed, as well as her siblings Louis Steed, Elmer Steed, Thayne Steed, Ella Steed, Derral Steed, Pauline Steed, and Dale Steed. While they may have parted ways for now, their cherished memories will forever bind them together. We express our gratitude to grandson Bill and great granddaughter, Parker, for their patient and loving care of LaWana.
