Lloyd E Lish Jr

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lloyd E Lish Jr. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and pillar of the Tremonton community. He departed this life peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to family and friends. Born and raised in Deweyville, Utah to Lloyd E Lish and Viola Harry. He was the seventh child of 13 siblings, Renee, Luella (Manning), Barbara (Evans), Jesse (Ball), Jay, Virginia (Anderson), Joe, Ray, Kent, Marion (Lefty), Judy (Peterson), and Karen (Sill).

Junior cultivated a deep love for the land and the people who call it home. A lifelong farmer he poured his heart and soul into his work and instilling in all who knew him a profound respect for honesty, perseverance, and the value of a hard days work.

Born during the depression he learned at a young age, the value of a dollar and what it means to work hard, from cleaning chicken coops as a young boy, to hoeing beets, washing dishes and working on the railroad, to owning his very own trucking business Jr Lish and Sons, where four of his boys worked for him and alongside him at one time. His tireless work ethic was unmatched only by his boundless generosity and warm, welcoming spirit.

Junior was the proud patriarch of a large and loving family. He married the love of his life, Cherre Chournos at just 18 years old instead of trying out for the Chicago Cubs farm team. He and Cherre built a beautiful life together, raising 8 children- Drew, Brian (Susan), Mark (Stephanie), Kristie (Jeff) Roche, Shawn (Michelle), Ginger (Craig) Holmgren, Wade (Camie), and Heidi. He cherished the joy of watching his family grow to include 31 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren. His family was his greatest pride and his influence will forever guide the generations to follow. Including his lifelong motto, A Steady Drip Fills A Bucket.

Known and loved by all Junior had a deep and profound love of the gospel and served in many callings.

He was a true cornerstone of the community. His wisdom, kindness, and steadfast presence enriched countless lives. Whether lending a helping hand to a neighbor, sharing his unmatched wit, banter, and endless stories about his life, or quietly offering support to those in need, he made an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him.

Juniors passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy of love hard work and community spirit will live on. He taught us the value of integrity, the importance of family, and the beauty of a life well lived.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Noon at the Tremonton Stake Center (660 N 300 E- Tremonton). Viewings will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6-8 P.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton) and prior to the service at the church from 10-11:30 A.M. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.

Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery.

Junior will be deeply missed, and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
