Our beloved husband, father, son, brother Lorin Matthew Myers passed away July 29, 2026. He was born in Longview, Texas to Charlie George (CG) Myers and Mildred Juanita (Peggy) Rucker. He was the 4th child of 7 born to their family.

Matt grew up playing in the red clay of East Texas. He loved to ride his bike to Tony’s Sporting Goods and visit with Tony. He learned all about fishing, hunting and everything else you could learn about sporting goods.

His first job was selling newspapers and he shared his wealth by buying gifts for others. He had many jobs, but most enjoyed those that educated him in the livestock industry. He ran a horse ranch and hauled hay. He went to Ricks College and worked on a two-year career program titled Beef Production Management.

Matt was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Netherlands, Amsterdam mission loving every moment of it.

On June 19, 1984, he married his sweetheart Colleen Adair for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They had just celebrated 42 years of marriage. To this union came three sons.

In his past-time he enjoyed, riding horses, gathering livestock, going to livestock & consignment auctions and shopping at estate sales. He also recycled metal regularly.

He loved fishing and would always take an extra tackle box and rod & reel to share with a youngster who did not have one.

Matt’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was a dear friend to everyone making people feel loved and accepted.

Matt was surrounded by his loving family when his journey on earth ended. Our clocks said July 29th but the clock in Amsterdam said July 30th making his 70th year complete.

Matt is survived by his loving wife Colleen; three sons Joel (Lorraine (fiancé) Myers, Gregg (Celeste) Myers

Nicholos (Mariah) Myers; 4 1/2 grandchildren Emma, Luka, Nathan, Charlie, and one due in March. Two sisters Charlsie (Ken) Futrelle and Becky (Mark) Murray; one brother Larry Myers; two brothers-in-law Dean (Lisa) Adair, Tim (Suzzana) Adair; one sister-in-law Sandy (Rich) Paul and many nieces and nephews.

Matt is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Teri Thrasher and two brothers Jay & Scotty Myers. His in-laws Lynn & Elvira Adair and his daughter-in-law Jessica Myers.

Matt will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Noon at the Howell Church. Viewings will be held Friday, August 7, 2026, from 6-8 P.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton) and prior to the funeral from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Burial will follow the services in Howell Utah Cemetery. The funeral service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.

Memorial Service will be held August 22, 2026, from 12-3 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 Plantation Lane Marshall Texas 75672. Zoom link will be available.
