Lyla H. Steed, age 78, peacefully passed away on May 9th, 2026, in Plain City, Utah with her loved ones by her side. Lyla was born on October 16th, 1947, in Malad, Idaho. Lyla was the daughter of Alden Lyle Hall and Arva Jensen Hall. Lyla graduated from Malad High School in 1966. She married Oral “Herb” Steed on February 4th , 1967, and made Plymouth home until they later divorced in 1996. They shared 3 beautiful daughters together. She later moved to Roy, Utah, where she spent most of her life.

Lyla dedicated much of her life to various roles, including R & R Hardware and homemaker. Anyone who knew her, knew her home and yard were always immaculate. She had a love for animals; her dogs and cat were always loved and brought her much joy in life. Above all, Lyla deeply loved her family. Lyla was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lyla is lovingly remembered by her brother Alan (Donna) Hall; her daughters Stacy (Dave) Seamons, Loral (Trent) Thompson, and Shannon (Kevin) Butler; her grandchildren Shayla (Voi) Barton, Shantell Seamons, Rylee Ivers, Dakota Thompson, Kashton (Gage) Ward, Bricker (Mikayla) Butler; and great-grandchildren Parker, Kaden, Jaxon, Davie, Hagen, Copeland, Hazelee, and Wacey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alden Lyle Hall and Arva Jensen Hall; her sister Gloria Burton; her sister-in-law Loretta Hall; son-in-law Dave Seamons; and great-nephew Josh Evans.

A viewing will be held Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 9:30 am-10:30 am at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). The graveside and interment will follow at 11 A.M. at the Plymouth Cemetery.
