Lyle Perry

June 29, 1964 — February 18, 2018

Lyle George Perry, (53) passed away from a heart attack on Sunday February 18, 2018.  Lyle spent most of his life with a beautiful smile on his face.  Lyle had a way of making life more enjoyable to all that he touched.  He will be so greatly missed by his family that was the love and joy of his life, and he was one proud Papa.  He will also be greatly missed by the second joy of his life, his business family.  Lyle had a keen business mind.  With his dad and two brothers they started Wheatland Seed in Brigham City, Utah.  From that small seed company in Brigham City it expanded to become the largest organic flour milling company (Central Milling, Gilt Edge, and Wheatland Milling) in the country.   The company expanded even further to a bakery distribution company (Keith Giusto bakery supply and Central Milling artisan baking center) in Petaluma, California.  It also spread into Eva’s Restaurant and Bakery in Salt Lake City.  But what Lyle loved best about the businesses he helped build was the friendships he made with the farmers he dealt with and especially the employees of those companies.  As the company grew he was always concerned that it would lose that family business feel and he always wanted to preserve that.  He considered the employees his extended family and loved all of them.  One of the things that brought him the most satisfaction is making the business an employee owned company, which he felt would bless and enrich each of those employees and their families for the rest of their lives.    Lyle loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, dirt biking, snowmobiling and golfing.  And he loved a nice political debate of which he seemed to always do with that beautiful smile on his face.  Lyle graduated from Bear River High school in 1982 and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lyle is survived by his best friend and love of his life Carrie Gunnell Perry, his mother Elaine Rich, his brother Lynn (Kari) Perry, brother-in-law David Misrasi, ex-wife and mother of his five children, Marcy Lish Perry, his children Zach (Lyndi) Perry, Megan (Tony) Peterson, Jeff Perry, Wade (Rachelle) Perry, Spencer Perry, stepsons Seth and Spencer Biehn, grandchildren Lauren, Helen, Lincoln, Ellie, Thatcher, Audie, Bravery, Caspin.  Lyle was preceded in death by his father George Perry, step-father Carter Rich, brother Kent Perry, sister Karen Perry Misrasi, niece Angie Perry, and nephew Bret Misrasi.
