Manuela Lopez Ortiz (75) passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. She was born on January 25, 1943 in Salvatierra, Gaunajuato, Mexico to Macario Lopez Martinez and Paz Ortiz. She was married on May 28, 1959 to Santos Gonzalez in Salvatierra, Gaunajuato, Mexico.

Manuela spent her time in many different jobs. She was a homemaker, but also spent time working in the field, at Crossroads, Denny’s, and the Sandman Hotel. She later retired. She loved to spend her spare time gardening, cooking, and tending to her chickens, birds, and parrot.

She is survived by her husband, Santos Gonzalez; her children, Yolanda Catillo, Gerardo Gonzalez, Hector Gonzalez, Israel Gonzalez, Santos Gonzalez Jr., and Francisco Gonzalez; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

Manuela is preceded in death by her parents, Paz Ortiz and Marcario Lopez; her son, Martin Gonzalez, and her brother, Eracleo Lopez.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, Utah). A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 5-7 p.m. at the same place.
