Salt Lake City- Marcetta (Marcie) Misrasi, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City, Utah, from complications following an automobile accident. Marcie was born in Bear River City, Utah, on June 10, 1922. A daughter of George and Vanthia Misrasi. She was reared in Tremonton, graduating from Bear River High School in 1940. She moved to Salt Lake City, where she was employed at Holy Cross Hospital. Marcie worked as a Secretary-Receptionist for the U.S. Navy Department at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah. She later transferred to a Secretarial position for the Naval Department in Honolulu, Hawaii. During the Vietnam War, Marcie worked as a Secretary in Saigon, Vietnam. She returned to Hawaii and retired after which she moved to Salt Lake City. Marcie was a devout member of the Catholic Church, assisting in many callings from her friends and leaders. She is survived by six loving brothers and sisters; Tess Misrasi, Phoenix, Arizona; Allie Simms, Salt Lake City; Pete Misrasi, Tremonton; Peggy Boucher, Overland Park, Kansas; Melba Benson, Brigham City; Manuel Misrasi, Tremonton, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Misrasi and Lewis Misrasi. Marci received many awards for outstanding performance in her secretarial duties during her career. She loved to crochet and send cards and letters to family members and the many acquaintances she acquired through the years. Funeral Mass will be held, Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Santa Anna Church 760 W 600 N Tremonton Utah. There will be a viewing Sunday evening 6-8 pm at Rudd Funeral Home 1234 S Main Garland Utah.
