Marilyn "Mary" Mann

July 7, 1936 — January 21, 2017

ELWOOD - On Saturday morning, January 21st, 2017, our loving mother, Marilyn “Mary” Barnard Mann, returned to her loving Father in Heaven.  Marilyn was born in Tremonton, Utah on July 7, 1936 and spent her young life growing up in the beautiful foothills of Deweyville, Utah.  She was the youngest daughter to Horace and Stella Spackman Barnard.  She loved spending her time at the dairy with her parents.

She attended and graduated from Bear River High School in Garland, Utah.  She met and married the love of her life, Palmer A. Mann of Elwood, Utah on July 7, 1954 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Together they built up a ranch and farm to carry on for generations.  Marilyn was the greatest lady we knew of service of others. She loved her dogs, cats, and her sheep.

Up until her last few months she enjoyed her flower beds, walking, and enjoying the outdoors. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be missed greatly.

She leaves behind her three children, Marilynn “Lynn” (Rick) Mann-McBrien of Clinton, Karen (Richard “Deceased”) Holt of Garland, Adam “Larry” (RuthAnn) Mann of Elwood; 17 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; and her loving 4-legged companion, Winston.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband; her son, Roger A. Mann; son-in-law, Richard Holt; a grandson, Brady Quinn Landon; her parents; and many other loved ones are ready to greet her.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the IHC Hospice Team, especially Lisa and Mavis.

Funeral Services for Marilyn will be on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton) with viewings on Friday, Jan. 27 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Tremonton / Riverview Cemetery.
