Marion Alexander (Lefty) Lish, age 85, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Garland, Utah after a short battle of lung cancer. Born on March 23, 1941, in Tremonton, Utah, he was the son of Lloyd Earnest Lish and Viola Harry.

Lefty married the love of his life June Petersen on October 4, 1962, in the Logan LDS Temple. They shared a cherished life together until her passing on May 31, 2022. Lefty missed her daily and talked about how much he wished he could be with her. His wish has now been fulfilled, and he is with her once again.

He spent much of his life in Deweyville before making Garland his home. Lefty was a proud graduate of Bear River High School. Throughout his career, he was the owner of Marion Lish Trucking and served as a CDL instructor at Bridgerland Applied Technology College, retiring in 2013 at the age of 72.

An avid outdoorsman, Lefty loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping. He also enjoyed the Utah Jazz and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His commitment to youth was evident as he coached the Young Men’s basketball team to a Divisional Championship.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he faithfully served in various callings, including a position in the Bishopric.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister Karen (Goldie) Sill; brother Kent (Sue) Lish; children Shanna (Gary) Innis, Wendy Kruger, Ryan (Sami) Lish, and Jared (Jamie) Lish; as well as 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Petersen; ten siblings; and his parents, Lloyd E. and Viola Harry Lish.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11 A.M. at the Garland LDS Church, located at 175 S Main Street, Garland. Viewings are scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2026, from 6-8 P.M. at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E , Tremonton), and on the day of the service from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the church. Interment will follow at the Garland Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and can be accessed below.
