Marlene Archibald

Tremonton- Marlene M. Archibald, 83, passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 26, 2016 in Tremonton, Utah. She was born on May 4, 1932 in Howell, Utah to Mirl Reese & Veda Pauline Barker Mason. Marlene was raised in Howell and attended & graduated from Bear River High School in 1949. Marlene married the loved of her life, Sharon Archibald in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 19, 1949.

She worked as a Dental Assistant for Reese Mason, and at Palmer Jewelry in Tremonton. Her most important job in life was being a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and gourmet cook for her family and friends.

Marlene wrote beautiful poetry, sung in many choirs, sewed for family, crocheting and quilting.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always serving others, an exemplary teacher and an example to her family.

Marlene is survived by her Eternal Companion of 67 years, Sharon Archibald; Children: Randy (Vicki) Archibald, Bryce (Jackie) Archibald, Bambi (Dan) Slater & Becky (Bobby) Roche; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and Sister, Naone (Ken) Godfrey.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother Reese Mason and Sister Glade Nielsen.

Funeral services for Marlene will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tremonton Stake Center (660 N. 300 E. Tremonton, UT). Viewings will be held on Tuesday evening March 1, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, UT) and at the church prior to the funeral service from 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
