Marlene Grover

Garland-Marlene Patterson Grover returned to her Father in Heaven, Wednesday, September 30, 2009. She was born to Leland Ray Patterson and Norma Barber, in West Point, Utah on March 31, 1931, where she attended West Point Elementary and graduated from Davis High School. She married Wayne “E” Grover on August 17, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Marlene was an active member of the LDS church; her callings included Primary President, Mutual President, Relief Society Visiting Teacher and Primary Organist. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Marlene enjoyed home decorating, quilting, reading, flower gardening and music. Marlene was a member of the Stage Coach Camp of The Daughters of The Utah Pioneers. She is survived by her husband Wayne; siblings Carma Taylor; Duane (Cora) Patterson; Janet (Gordon) Douglass; Joan (Perry) Steidley, children Sheri Lynn (Leon) Lemon; Randy (Shelley) Grover; Dar (Susan) Burnett; Robert (Claudia) Grover; Scott (DeNiece) Grover; Debbi (Kent) Anderson; Brad (Gale) Grover; 39 Grandchildren; 65 Great Grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geniel and son, Buddie Lee. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the East Garland Cemetery. Special thanks for the outstanding care that was provided by Hospice and the Tremonton Fire Department EMT’s.
