Mary Gardner

Mary Anne Gardner passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, peacefully in her sleep at the age of 76 in her Deweyville home.

Mary Anne was born on May 11, 1942 to Dallas Thomas Goodey and Sybil Thompson in Logan, Utah. She attended and graduated from North Cache High School in 1960 and married the love of her life Robert Edward Gardner on June 18, 1960. They settled down in Deweyville and had four children.

Mary Anne was a well-known and loved member of her community, having served on the town counsel, various callings in the Mormon church, and served as an ordinance worker in the Logan temple. She was a substitute teacher for the Box Elder school district for several years, worked at La-Z-Boy, and as a people greeter at the North Logan Walmart until her retirement in 2010.

She loved to crochet, cross stitch, play and call softball games, and spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Rhonda Goodey and Karen Kent, and survived by her husband, sisters Merle (Alan) Cornish, Myrna (Mike) DeGriselles, Jane (Kim) Sparks, her brother Garth (Heidi) Goodey, her children Bart (Debbie) Gardner, Kevin Gardner, Lori (Troy) Riser, Ryan (Sue) Gardner, her thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Rogers Funeral Home, and Thursday June 26, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 AM, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM at the Deweyville church. Graveside services will be held at the Deweyville cemetery.
