Milton Dee Scott, 63, passed away June 29, 2009, from natural causes in Bancroft, Caribou County, Idaho. He was born January 28, 1946, in Tremonton, Box Elder, Utah, the son of Walter Andrew Scott and Hazel Ellen Mangum. He grew up between Fielding, Utah, and Mesa, Arizona. He married Klea Lusk on September 25, 1964, in Malad, Oneida, Idaho. They were sealed in the Logan Temple on July 7, 1969. He was an avid scouter and was awarded the Silver Beaver, Award of Merit, and went on hundreds of campouts. He touched countless lives of scouts through the years, as they touched his. He donated more than 30 gallons of blood to help save the lives of others. He retired in 2003 from Hill Air Force Base after 36 years of service. He also was an electrician and helped many with his talents. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. He also served as an officiator in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an avid reader who always had a book by his side. He had a keen love of nature; he loved spending time at his cabin in Idaho. He was a big guy with a big heart. He taught us all life lessons through the way that he lived. He taught us to work, to love unconditionally, forgive others, and to serve. He taught us to love the temple, as he found so much joy there. He had a testimony of the true gospel and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. His wife, grandchildren and children, in that order, were the loves of his life. He loved playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, and five children, Jeffrey Dee (Lisa) Scott, Tina Ann (Robert) Gregory, Jamy Lee (Michael) Corbett, Mindee Jo (Neil) Shelley and MaryAnn (Paul) Brown, 18 grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Tanner and Lindsey Scott; Rebecka, Stephen, Joseph, Tyson and Jacob Gregory; Emily, Andrew, Benjamin and Aubrey Corbett; Olivia and Isabel Shelley and Spencer, Sydney and Connor Brown. He is also survived by his brothers, Wesley, David, Wilford, Harry, Lee, and Harold and his sisters, Charlotte, Retta, Dora and Marilyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters, Maddie and Abbie, brothers, Albert, Walter, Donald, Lawrence and sisters, Winona, Bertha and a stillborn little sister. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Fielding Stake Center, 4375 West 15600 North. A viewing will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the St. John, Idaho Cemetery In lieu of flowers, please donate to Primary Children’s Hospital or the Boy Scouts of America.
