Nancy Alane Christiansen

Nancy was born Monday, March 10, 1952, in Montogomery County Ohio. She was the daughter of Herbert Spencer Flory and Ladonna Adean Denlinger Flory. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard L. Christiansen, her eldest son Chase, his wife Jessica and her three beautiful grandchildren: Bridger, Aspen, and Bodhi. Her son James Christiansen. Her eldest Brother Alan L Flory (Wife Barbara), her nephews Matthew and Tymothy (Wife Kristen), four great nieces, Amelia, Elyse, Nora, and Jillian. Brother Eric Flory, (Wife Martha), nephews Jason and Nicholas, nieces, Jennifer and Chelsea. Her sister Ruth Flory Parker, nephew: Daniel Cooper, nephews: Evan, Noah, and Liam. Niece Jennifer Cooper, great nephews: Tristian and Tyler, great niece: Garbrielle and great, great nephew: Cody. Niece Megan Smith.

Nancy Graduated from Springfield, North High School in 1970. She moved to Odgen, UT that same year. She enrolled at Weber State College in Education where she received her degree in 1974. While at Weber State College, she tried out and made, the Women’s National Fast Pitch Softball Traveling Team which took her all over the country.

Nancy met Richard and they married December 15, 1979, in the Odgen Temple. They moved to Tremonton, UT in 1985 where Nancy began her journey coaching women’s softball. She coached in the church as well as for Bear River High School. Her coaching career spanned over 25 years. She is known for her wood working and would make bear trophies all ten times her girls would win the state championship.

Nancy loved working in her yard and making caramels at Christmas time. She was also lovingly devoted to the Lord and her church family. She answered many callings, her first was before she met Richard. After college Nancy answered her calling to go on a mission and was sent to Argentina. Some of her other callings were: Gospel Doctrine teacher for four years; she taught primary for four years; she was a Temple worker for seven years; and was a scout leader for 22 years.

The viewing will be at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 3 at: Rudd Funeral Home, 111 N 100 E, Tremonton, UT 84337. The funeral will begin at 11:00 AM at the Tremonton South Stake Center, 150 S. Tremont St., Tremonton, UT 84337. There will be a second viewing before the funeral from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. at the Stake Center.
