Our Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Nicole was born on 11 January 1992 in Layton, Utah to her parents Jeffrey Hertell Ivers and Lois Drue Clyde. Nicole was the fourth of five children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in leadership positions in the Young Women organizations both on the ward and stake levels as a youth. She was truly a daughter of our Heavenly Father and went out of her way to help others recognize their potential.
Nicole was a friend to all with her beautiful smile and physical beauty, but most important her inner beauty.
Nicole attended Layton Elementary School and Fairfield Junior High School in Layton where she enjoyed and loved dancing in Ballet, Jazz and Hip hop. She loved performing at dance competitions in the area.
Nicole later moved to Bothwell, Utah in 2006 leaving behind her dance uniforms and city life when she was in High School where she attended Bear River High School, graduating from the class of 2010. Nicole joined the 4-H and FFA programs in Box Elder County, becoming an official “pig farmer”. She enjoyed raising pigs that she showed and later sold at the county fair. She later went on to help her son to do the same.
Nicole met Rhett Powell in High School and from that union was blessed when she gave birth to her little red-headed boy Treven Powell on 29 December 2011, that she loved with all her heart.
Nicole had a special bond with animals and tried to gather all the strays in the area. She had one favorite cat that she named Clowie that she had since she was ten years old that she brought with her from Layton that passed away earlier this year.
Nicole enjoyed being with her family going on camping trips to South Dakota, Mill B, Bondurant, Yellowstone, Downata Hot Springs and family reunions. Nicole enjoyed watching her favorite football team the “Denver Broncos” and watching the “Jazz basketball” team except when they played the “Chicago Bulls” because her brother was a Michael Jordan fan, which caused a rivalry.
Nicole worked at several jobs which included Convergys, West Liberty Foods, Autoliv, Dollar Tree and retail clerk at gas stations in the area. The job that she probably enjoyed the most was at Anntanna’s where she helped to care for and transport folks with disabilities. She loved them and they loved her. She was a force to be reckoned with if you were unkind to those that had disabilities.
Nicole loved her nieces and nephews that were blessed to be a part of her life.
She is preceded in death by her older brother Bradley Jeff Ivers, her grandparents Leland Bonner Ivers, Calvin and Margie Clyde, step grandfather Melvin Ryan, cousins and aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her parents Jeffrey and Lois Ivers, grandmother RosaLee Ivers, her siblings: Jeffrey “Wade” (Annie) Ivers, Ashley (Chris) Schwinn, Allison Ivers and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that will miss her.
