Nondis Kae Potter

April 30, 1945 — August 15, 2023

Nondis Kae Potter passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1945 to Irvin Farrell Jensen and Dorothy Gunnell Jensen. She married Olene M. Potter on February 25, 1963. Olene passed away on September 18, 2009.

Nondis served in various church callings in her life but her favorite was with the youth and most recently the primary. She was very devoted to attending the temple and did so as long as she was able to.

She was very crafty. She loved and excelled in everything including, macrame, crocheting, cross stitching, writing poems, and decorating her home.  She would often take fresh flowers and preserve them for remembrance of all occasions. Reading was a passion and she was always learning something new.  She was devoted to family history and ensured it got documented for her future generations.

Along with her crafty side she was what we called a wild crafter… she and her sweetheart would often times go for long rides to forage for herbs that she made into natural remedies for her and her family.

She had love and compassion and was constantly surrounded by her young grandchildren.  Her home was a safe haven to all. Her older grandchildren often sought her out for her wisdom and life’s advice.  She was able to reassure new mothers, and she lightened the load of worrying dads.  She had a natural talent of being the family’s therapist, and was truly our anchor in life . She was always able to cure us with her knowledge and her natural remedies.

Nondis is survived by her children Michelle (Art) Huot, Vaughan Potter, Shawn (Mindy) Potter, Tyler (Sabrina) Potter, Melissa (Bob) Coray, 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Olene M. Potter; mother Dorothy Gunnell Jensen; father Irvin Farrell Jensen.
