Parker Craig Liechty

October 16, 2003 — May 30, 2024

Parker (Vryx) Craig Liechty from Tremonton, UT left this world on May 30th, 2024. He was born on October 16th, 2003, in Silverdale, WA, to Brian and Rebecca Liechty. Parker is the oldest of four children and will always be remembered by his orange hair (his favorite color) and his affinity for foxes.

Parker was one of the smartest people we ever knew, immediately absorbing math, science, computers, and anything technical. From a young age, he was our electronics and technical support. He graduated from Bridgerland Technical College in IT at the same time he finished high school at Bear River High School in 2022. While in high school he taught a summer programming class for teens through the Boys and Girls club. His smarts and grades won several awards, including Sterling Scholar, and a scholarship to Utah Valley University (UVU). He excelled at UVU and got nearly perfect grades without even having to attend in person for most of the time. His philosophy was to just read the books and do the assignments. He just received a certification in computer programming from UVU, which made us all very proud. He was looking forward to completing his Bachelor's degree in IT and cybersecurity in just three more semesters.

He loved photography, spending all his money on camera equipment, and cooking unique Chinese food while practicing his Chinese language skills. He also loved making chocolate chip cookies and fresh bread for family and friends. Reading was a huge hobby, and he read seemingly every book in existence, aided by the ability to read faster than even AI (real books though, no ebooks). He always looked forward to D&D nights with friends, and enjoyed living with friends in Logan, in a nearly perfect utopian society. His favorite time of year was FanX, where he would attend with friends and his sister.

Parker left a lasting mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a devoted brother and son, who loved spending time with his siblings as they grew up and would always do his best to cheer them up. Birthdays and Christmas were always exciting because we got to see what silly gift he had come up with. His mom and dad treasured the friendship they had with him. His beacon of love will leave an absence in our lives.

Parker is survived by sisters Brianna and Claire, brother Jackson, parents Brian and Rebecca, grandparents Scott and Catharine Seamons, Russel and Janell Liechty, great-grandma Lorraine Liechty Olsen, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A family viewing was held at Rudd Funeral Home in Garland, UT on June 1st. A public graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on June 15, 2024, at the Providence, UT Cemetery.
