Obituary

Patsy Ann Roberts Bean, age 92, passed away September 21, 2026, in Brigham City, Utah. She was born March 22, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, to Homer Edwin Roberts and Clara Blanche Nielsen.

She married Gary Lawrence Bean on 16 November, 1956, in Los Angeles Temple, California. He later passed on 18 August, 2018.

Patsy grew up in Inglewood, California. Because her husband served in the Marine Corps, she lived in several cities in southern California, Kansas, North Carolina, and Utah.

Her lifelong career was caring for her children and her home. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her heart was open and welcoming to all who came to her door.

Patsy was an accomplished pianist. As a teen, she was invited to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. Her children remember their house being filled with beautiful music and often waking to her playing. She also had gifted hands as a seamstress, creating everything from clothing to Halloween costumes to quilts. She loved to create through needlework and often gifting Afghans and handmade dresses for Barbie dolls. She was a creative baker and always loved trying new recipes. She never forgot a birthday; she knew how to make everyone feel special through visits and personalized cakes. You could always rely on her stopping by on Christmas day. One of her favorite hobbies was bowling with her grandkids, and she was never afraid to give pointers to help them improve.

At sixteen years old, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a faithful member her whole life. She served in many capacities. Later in life, she was committed to genealogy, seeking out ancestors, and finding and sharing family stories.

Patsy is survived by her children Patrick Bean (Julia) and Holly Stucki (Curtis). She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents, Homer and Blanche; her brother, Daniel; her son, Dion; her grandchild, Colton; and her great grandchildren, Shayli and Michael.

A special thanks to the staff at Maple Springs Lighthouse.
