Obituary

Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Patsy Claire Mann Creager, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, in Willard, Utah.

Patsy was born on June 30, 1938, in Tremonton, Utah, to Kim Ashel Mann and Lillie Victoria Hansen Mann Brenkman. She was the youngest of four children and the only girl. She grew up on a farm in Elwood, Utah.

She married her sweetheart, James Abram Creager, in Elwood on June 21, 1958—“the longest day of the year.” They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Utah Temple on January 27, 1967.

After they married, Patsy and James made their home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. In 1963, they moved to Tremonton, Utah, and in 1964, they settled in Garland, where they made their home and raised their family. Patsy remained in her Garland home until James passed away, after which she moved to Willard to live with her son and his family.

Patsy attended and graduated from Bear River High School. After high school, she briefly attended Weber State College before getting married. Later in life, she continued her education at Bridgerland Technical College.

Patsy devoted many years to being a stay-at-home mother, raising her four sons and one daughter. Later in life, she worked as a secretary at Utah State University for Linda Powers.

Patsy was a sweet and caring person who genuinely loved people. She enjoyed talking with everyone she met and had a gift for making others feel comfortable and heard. She was a wonderful listener and someone people found easy to talk to. Those who knew her will also remember her special “heart-to-heart” hugs, which she loved to give.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time playing dominoes, cribbage, and card games with family and friends.

Patsy loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, trees, and waterfalls. She had a special love for trains, particularly old locomotives. She also loved astronomy and shared that interest with her children, teaching them about star charts and the planets.

Music was another important part of Patsy’s life. She loved all kinds of music and especially enjoyed singing. Over the years, she shared her love of music through church choirs and the Reflections group.

Patsy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in several callings throughout her life.

She is survived by her four sons, Mark James Creager, Joel William (Rosalie) Creager, David Seth Creager, and Kim Charles (Kellie) Creager; 17 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 28 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Abram Creager; her daughter, Julie Marie Creager; her parents; her siblings; and her grandparents.

Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to PrimRose Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they provided to Patsy. Their compassion, kindness, and support went above and beyond, helping our family care for her and bringing comfort during the final chapter of her life.
