Thatcher UT – Phyllis E. Lewis, 96, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Sunday July 5, 2009. She was born April 3, 1913 in Emery, Utah to George W. Mortensen and Florenda Matilda Larsen. She married George Udell Lewis on July 20, 1932 in Manti LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in various callings. She loved quilting, sewing and baking. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She always remembered each grand child’s name and birthday. Her keen mind allowed her to be involved in her family’s lives and activities. She is survived by her daughter Eunice (Mack) Luke, three sons; Donald (Jonda) Ted and Kimball (Myrna), 25 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister, a son and daughter-in law, Norris and Barbara, three grandsons and one great grandson. Special thanks to Lidia Martin, who provided exceptional help and care for our mother for over 3 years. Also to Love Healthcare for their excellent help and care. We especially thank our brother Ted for his love and care for our Mother. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 09, 2009 at the Thatcher-Penrose LDS Ward Chapel, 11475 West 10400 North, Thatcher. Following the viewing there will be funeral services at 11:00 with Bishop Toone officiating. Internment at Cliff View Cemetery, Price, Utah
