Quintin R. Hess beloved husband father grandfather great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed from this life on 10 April 2009 from natural causes. He was born on a farm 1 March 1918 in Fielding Utah to Charles C. and Jane Elizabeth Owen Hess. He attended Bear River High School. He married Vonda Belle Tolman on 28 April 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. They have lived in Salt Lake City, Logan and settled in Fielding after purchasing the farm from his father in 1946. Quintin worked at Thiokol for over 20 years before retiring in 1983. He built and operated a dairy farm with his family for over 55 years before moving into assisted living quarters to care for his dear sweet wife. He also worked at Holy Cross Hospital, Remington Arms, U&I Sugar Company, and for a classified Army project on the Columbia River, in Hanford, Wa. He served in the Army during World War II. It seems he was always working 2 jobs to provide a better life for his family. He is a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings including the Bishopric. Throughout his life he has been an example of hard work and dedication to a good cause and has taught his children to do the same. His hobbies included farming and gardening, caring for animals, sports of all kinds and enjoyed basketball, football, baseball, and boxing. Later in life he loved to watch his family participate in sports and could always be found in the stands cheering them on. He also enjoyed hunting pheasants and spending quality time with his family. He has shown great love for his family of 11 children, 53 grandchildren, 99 great-grand children and 1 great-great- grandchild. He is survived by his eternal companion Vonda, and his proud children are Judy (Dennis) Richards, Lehi; Charles (Marlean) Hess, Merced Calif; Harold (Jane) Hess, Farr West; Mary (Mike) Perry, Cedar Rapids, IA; Tim (Karen) Hess, Providence; Dave (Patti) Hess, North Ogden; Vaughn (Tonya) Hess, Fielding; Barry (Joelle) Hess, Fielding; Becky (Jeff) Ewing, Logan; and the late Quinton R.
