Rafael Castro, aged 54, passed away at his home in Garland on July 9, 2026. Born on October 24, 1971, in Mexico City to Martha and Angel Castro, Rafael spent his early years in Mexico before his family immigrated to California, eventually settling in Fielding, Utah.
Rafael recently moved to Garland after living in Fielding for 14 years. Where he met life long friends who loved him like family. He also married his beloved Virginia Hidalgo on August 22, 2008. A dedicated construction worker, he found great joy in building and improving his surroundings. He loved traveling to different states and meeting new people. He was always a helping hand and the most caring person. Never afraid to step up when he needed to. He was a father figure to many, not just his children. Rafael cherished salsa dancing, rock music, watching soccer, and most significantly, his role as a grandfather.
A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Rafael leaves behind his wife, Virginia, and his children: Ashley Castro, Jacqueline Castro, Lesly Castro, Alexis Castro, Guadalupe Castro, Edgar Castro, and Saria Castro. Along with his sister Maria Castro. He is predeceased by his father, Angel Castro.
Funeral Mass services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the Santa Ana Catholic Church in Tremonton (760 W 600 N- Tremonton) . A viewing will precede the service from 9-10:30 A.M. at the Rudd Funeral Home in Tremonton (111 N. 100 E.- Tremonton).
