Rissa AdaLynn Gonzales, a vibrant and joyful soul, left this world on December 16, 2025, at her home in Tremonton, Utah. Born on January 17, 2018, in Brigham City, Utah, to Katie Lee Atwell and Enrique Gonzales. At only seven years of age, Rissa made a lasting impression on every life she touched.
As a student at The Peak – Peak-a-boo Preschool and Garland Elementary, Rissa thrived in an environment filled with learning and friendship. Her time at Garland Elementary was filled with laughter, joy, and her love for learning Spanish. The friendships she formed there were a source of happiness for her, and she cherished every moment spent in her classroom.
Rissa’s playful spirit shone brightly in her many passions. She delighted in dancing and cheering with VaDels Dance Studio, showcasing her infectious energy and enthusiasm. She also enjoyed playing softball with Tremonton Rec. Her love for gymnastics and reading complemented her playful nature, while her playful use of Snapchat filters earned her the affectionate title of “Filter Queen.” However, nothing brought her more joy than the precious time she spent with her beloved mother, Katie.
Rissa leaves behind her mother, Katie Lee Atwell, alongside a loving family of aunts, uncles, and grandparents who will hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Gonzales; her aunt, AdaLynn Fridal; and her great grandparents, Jerrie & Jimmy Essman; & her pets, Marley Sox, Cinnamon, Twitch, and Mini Mallow (Mini Cat), who brought her happiness.
A viewing to celebrate Rissa's life will be held from 5-7 P.M. at the Rudd Funeral Home-Tremonton, located at 111 N. 100 E. in Tremonton, UT. During this difficult time, Katie extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support and love.
